What is this all about?

What am I supposed to do?
Walk

Well, why not?  It's free and it's incredibly healthy as it's an all-body work-out.

There will be a 'walking crocodile' of children from various schools within the town 'snaking' their way to school.  Please join in when you see it!

St. Peter's School
Contact Bernie on 07986 681085 for details of the 8:15am Crocodile to St. Peters School in Prospect Road

Spinfield School  have set up four start points going up to school on Thursday.
Bottom of Spinfield Lane West at 8.40 am
Bottom of Barnards Hill at 8.40 am
Corner of Bovingdon Heights at 8.40 am
Footpath at the corner of the green between Wrensfield and Ryans Mount at 8.40am.
We would like parents to walk with their children if they do so normally.
Please come and join in - even if you cannot manage to abandon your car
completely, join in at one of the above starting points. (please be
considerate when parking, as these areas may become quite congested!)

Marlow C of E Infant School (Sandygate) are awarding medals to all those children who don't use the car on Thursday.  The Car Free Day falls in the middle of Sandygate's Walk to School Week held every term.
And to show that this isn't just about the pupils, there will also be an empty car park as staff use alternative means of transport on Thursday morning!  http://www.marlow-infant.ik.org/

To help you sort your bike out for the 1st Feb Marlow's Saddle Safari has this information...
Just a note to let you know what we are doing for Marlow's traffic free day on February 1st.
Our courtyard car park is being turned into a bike park for the day where people can securely leave their bike for the day.
We will have staff on hand to do simple repairs on peoples bikes free of charge for the day.
Anyone bringing a bike into Marlow on the day will be entered in a free draw to win a brand new 'trek bike'.  The winning ticket will be drawn at 5.30 on the day. Any biker can enter the draw even if they are not leaving their bike at the shop, just swing by to put their name and number in the raffle box.
Hopefully we will see a real increase in the number of people leaving the car at home on Feb. 1st.
